John Mitchell of the Massachusetts Grand Lodge 250th Committee explains the histories (yes, that’s multiple) of Bunker Hill and the 2025 celebration. We start with a review of the actual event that took place on Breed Hill on June 17, 1775. A cursory review of what we today call “the Battle of Bunker” is followed by a summary of what occurred 50 years later when General Lafayette laid the cornerstone for the Bunker Hill Monument in a grand Masonic ceremony. Finally, John tells us about the activities planned for the 2025 celebration, including who’s going to be there, when it will occur, and how you can see it.
